Thank you to all of our LINC Tasmania volunteers!

Would you like to volunteer with LINC Tasmania?

Did you know that LINC Tasmania has nearly 1,500 volunteers who contributed around 108,000 hours last year.

LINC Tasmania volunteers are involved in many different activities including delivering reading materials and audio books to home library clients, supporting adults and families with their literacy, communication and learning skills, assisting in making Tasmania’s archive and heritage records more accessible, through indexing, preserving or digitising our resources, and supporting Tasmanians to access computer technology to develop their skills.

For more information on volunteering, visit our Volunteer with LINC Tasmania page or contact your local LINC, library or OAC.

Dan has just started with Huon LINC - We call him ‘Dan the man’ because of his great smile and sense of humour and he’s always so happy to help staff and clients with any queries they may have.

Tameka has been volunteering at Launceston LINC since 2011. She volunteers in our OAC / digibar area assisting clients to get online, helping with computers, printing, scanning and photocopying. Tameka is very knowledgeable and has made a great contribution.

Janine has been volunteering with the conservation team in the Tasmanian Archive and Heritage Office (TAHO) since 2014. One of her tasks is to create 'support cushions' which are used to protect unique and fragile books, scrapbooks and photo albums.
